Moist Heat: The use of a “Thernaphore” is common in our clinic. Each of our therapists utilizes the benefits of this piece of equipment to warm tissue, increase circulation and reduce tension.
Cold Packs: Simple ice packs are often used before, during or after a treatment to give the benefits ‘cold’ does for the body. These benefits include reducing discomfort, reducing inflammation and increasing circulation. We can also increase range of motion or length of a muscle with ‘ice and stretch’ techniques. This old technique can release a stubborn shortened muscle as well as decrease a lingering or unbearable pain.
